Call for Artists — The Long Island Museum announces an open call to artists & artisans for the 2017 Holiday Celebration Gala & Silent Auction.
This annual event raises funds to support museum initiatives such as education programs, exhibitions and LIMarts activities. To promote the vast talent and diversity of the arts on Long Island, this year’s Gala will, once again, feature a special selection of original artwork and hand-crafted works from Long Island artists and artisans. Space is limited and entries will be selected by a panel of museum and LIMarts representatives. The Holiday Celebration Gala & Silent Auction will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017. Artists will be recognized on exhibition labels and listed in the event journal, and are invited to the Exhibition Preview Cocktail Party on Thursday, November 2, 2017. Eligibility: Open call • Entry Fee: None
Entries: High resolution digital images only (jpegs up to 3MB), formatted for PC. May submit two entries (one may be chosen). Please include all information described below.
Medium: The LIM encourages any format two dimensional or three dimensional.
Size: May not exceed 36” in any direction including frame; 36” max in any direction for three-dimensional pieces
