Spend the day in New York City, beginning with a visit to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.

Tour the twin reflecting pools situated within the footprints of where the Twin Towers once stood, and displays of artifacts and stories of the events of 9/11.

After the Museum visit  have lunch and shopping on your own in Little Italy, followed by a professionally guided bus tour through Little Italy, Chinatown and Lower Manhattan.

because there was not enough response. A day trip to the 9-11 Memorial is

The membership of the Retired – United Teachers of Northport marked the beginning of another school year with the Annual Picnic at the beautiful Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport. The weather was perfect, the location was beautiful, the food was delicious, and everyone had a wonderful time catching up with friends and former colleagues. Dennis Flamenbaum retired from the post of RC 23 president July. Stepping into the post of chapter president is Ellen Burke, who has served as vice president. 

Members of the executive honored Dennis with a champagne  toast at his retirement luncheon,  July 16th at the Garden Grill in Smithtown.  Dennis was surprised at the turn out of 30 attendees and was obviously touched by all the cards and notes of best wishes presented to him from members and the  a gift card from the Council.  At sad and happy event - happy that Dennis and his family are embarking on a new phase of their lives - sad
