Dennis Flamenbaum retired from the post of RC 23 president July. Stepping into the post of chapter president is Ellen Burke, who has served as vice president.
Members of the executive honored Dennis with a champagne toast at his retirement luncheon, July 16th at the Garden Grill in Smithtown. Dennis was surprised at the turn out of 30 attendees and was obviously touched by all the cards and notes of best wishes presented to him from members and the a gift card from the Council. At sad and happy event - happy that Dennis and his family are embarking on a new phase of their lives - sad because we will all miss him, his good judgement and commitment to NYSUT and RC 23.
