SMS Text Message Terms and Conditions

Types of SMS Communications

By providing your phone number, you opt-in to receiving short message service (SMS) messages (“text messages”) from NYSUT Retiree Council 23 related to conversation, concerning subjects such as event information, pro-union legislation and action alerts.


SMS For Consent Communication

The information (Phone Numbers) obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Some of these text messages may be autodialed.


Opt-out

You can end the receipt of text messages at any time. Reply STOP to opt-out. After you send "STOP" to us, we will send you a text message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive text messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will resume sending text messages to you.

If you are experiencing issues with the text messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance. Note that carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.


Message Frequency

Message frequency varies and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from NYSUT Retiree Council 23 and to NYSUT Retiree Council 23 from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
