This November the New York State ballot will include a referendum to on whether the state should hold a constitutional convention. Holding such a convention could have far-reaching negative effects on working conditions, our retirement security and our members’ ability to provide a sound and basic education, not to mention the waste of millions of dollar it will cost. Help NYSUT get out the vote, and urge member to VOTE NO on holding a Constitutional Convention, by volunteering to staff the phone banks for the November election. Phone banks will continue every Tuesday ( 10:30- 1:30) until Election Day, and three Retiree During the Day Phone Banks are will be held beginning at 10 a.m. on October 18, 25 and November 1. Retirees will be calling fellow NYSUT retirees — if you have some time please plan to stop by.
